Julia Butters is joining Disney’s “Freaky Friday 2.”

Julia Butters’ life takes a strange turn.

Heyyhollywood has learned from sources that the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star has joined the cast of Disney’s “Freaky Friday” sequel. In March.

The latest episodes of Hulu’s “Welcome to Chippendales,” directed by Ganatra. Her other credits include the 2019 film “Late Night,” starring Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson, and the 2020 film “The High Note,” starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Negotiations are underway to return Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, the film’s original stars, to their roles.

Curtis and Lohan have long been vocal about their desire to work together again on a body-swap comedy project. Instagram users Curtis and Lohan posted a photo in March in which Curtis tagged Disney and wrote, “DUH! FFDEUX! like the title.

“Freaky Friday” starred Lohan as rebellious daughter Anna and Curtis as serious mother Tess. To be prepared for Tess’s wedding and Anna’s big concert with her band, the two must learn to accept each other unconditionally after a mysterious fortune cookie forces them to switch bodies.

There is no information yet on Butters’ involvement or anything else in the plot of the extended sequel. “The Gray Man,” “The Fablemans” and “I Think You Should Leave” are among Butters’ other credits.

The sequel is produced by former Disney executive Kristin Burr and director Andrew Gunn. No release plan has yet been declared.
